There's no turning back now!
Once the ice starts to break up this time of year,
we know that in a few weeks winter will be history.
Well, for at least another year that is.
Not that I have anything against winter, I don't.
Give me cold, fresh air any day over hot humid weather.
Now maybe something in between would be perfect......
like the months of May and June here in Nova Scotia,
not too hot and not too cold.
I guess breaking up can be hard to do.
Enjoy!
loved your post I am anxious for spring this year, here too usually a couple months of perfect weather perfect the hot and humidity
ReplyDeleteThanks Kathy. Guess we can't get away from the humidity...well, we can at the beach here!
DeleteI am chomping at the bit for spring! We still have snow and below freezing temps.
ReplyDeleteDid you get that big storm Lori? Patience....
DeleteSpring is my favourite season with its in-between, perfect weather! I can also do without the heat and humidity. But I'm glad winter is coming to an end. I'm really not a fan of it!
ReplyDeleteMe too, love spring/not humidity at all.
DeleteG'Mornin' Jim
ReplyDeleteNot alive. Yah, it's about time we kick old man winter out!
Think he's gonna spit and sputter and drag his heels though.
I am a lover of the equinox, myself.
Waiting...
It will come Sharon, hang tight.
DeleteIs it just the film, or did Neil Sedaka have really short, stubby little legs? He looks top-heavy.
ReplyDeleteGood question Debra! I noticed that too and suspect it was the film. Good thing he didn't topple over!!lol
DeleteSpring is in the air and I am happy it's nearly here - I also enjoy some winter... but enough is enough! Beautiful water photos...
ReplyDeleteIvan
Thanks Ivan.I know, too much of anything can get on ones nerves I guess.
DeleteThat blue color is just magnificent! Here in the canyon, winter is my favorite season; in Sweden, it was spring and early summer. Those light nights! You must have them too, right?
ReplyDeleteThanks Inger. As far as the 'light nights' of summer, we do not have those because we are not as far north as Sweden. But In Edmonton, Alberta, where my sister lives, they have those long day-light nights in summer like you did in Sweden.
DeleteBeautiful photos!! I also love winter. The brisk, clear air is so refreshing. Of course, I also love spring, summer and fall. Ha! There is something about winter though.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jill. I can tell that you just love life no matter what season! And from the adventures of all your critters, this is so true! Smudge is proof that any season is fine by him! lol
DeleteWinter seems to be arriving later and later around here. We didn't get any snow at all until February! Today we're supposed to be getting anywhere from 8-12" of snow. I've been watching it fall for the past several hours, and I LOVE it! I just wish my son didn't have to drive in it later to get home from class. I'm going to give it another hour or so, then I'm heading over to my parents' to shovel. Yay!
ReplyDeleteI suspect you are shoveling out today Lisa! No need to hit the gym! I remember when you said back in November and December that there was no snow in Chicago....
DeleteWhat a beautiful blue in your photos. We've been having unusually chilly weather for Florida. When it gets down to 60 here, the natives wear heavy coats, hats, and gloves. Since I wasn't raised here, I'm a little tougher, but our houses aren't built to stay warm in cold weather; and we were down in the 30s. I'm grateful that we're supposed to hit 70 this afternoon.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
That must be very strange Janie when it gets cold there! Would be like if it got warm here in winter I guess. Hope it warms up for you.
DeleteWelcome spring! Hahaha you made my day with Neil Sedaka!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Mick you crack me up! In a good way!
DeleteSo June is a good month. Good to know.
ReplyDeleteBye-bye ice! See ya in December!
Yes it usually is Stew. Fingers crossed!!
DeleteThe tree's are starting to bud out here and a few of my bulbs have flowered already. I'm ready for spring, just not the crazy cold one day warm the next weather that gave me this horrible cold :(
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking beach!!
Oh cut it out, Jen!! Lucky you! I am so used to our climate here, I cam't imagine having flowers this time of year.
DeleteYes, a beach walk in bare feet!!! Love it and can't wait.
We are expecting 12+ inches of snow tomorrow. I'm hoping it does not happen! I'm ready for spring Jim! I don't like hot and humid either... but I really do not like winter! A 78 degree day with plenty of sun and few clouds = My perfect day!
ReplyDeleteI heard about that storm Bobbi. They predict it will miss us here in the Maritimes....too far out in the Atlantic!!!
DeleteIt will be spring in no time in Maryland right? Way before us....I like your 'perfect day'!
Spring? What's that?
ReplyDeleteJune is our nicest month.
LOL! Laughing with you, not at you Terry! Come on June!
DeleteHurry spring! Actually, we're expecting a snow storm here - most significant this year, say the weather alarmists. Pretty pics and I love Neil Sedaka!
ReplyDeleteI heard about this one too Pat. I find the 'alarmists' always go for the worst case scenario....at least around here they do. Good luck with this one! Maybe the last one of the year?!
DeleteWe've just had another snowstorm! Your photos are a reminder that spring will be along eventually.
ReplyDeleteYeah! Sorry Fiona, but this means more wonderful photos of the snow from you!! Yes spring will eventually come for us 'northern' folks.
DeleteYes,
ReplyDeletesomething in between,
most definitely!!
Good pics!!
:)~

Thanks Bruno. Me too, don't like the extremes either.
